Obituary:
Raymond Joseph Perrault passed away on January 30, 2010 at the age of 90. Ray was born on March 22, 1919 in Pasco to Reme and Nellie (Duncan) Perrault. He was raised in Toppenish graduating from Toppenish High School with the Class of ’37. He went to WSU before hitchhiking back to Toppenish in 1939 during a break in school. At that time he accepted a job with L.E. Mikesell, Distributor for Standard Oil Co. of California, later Chevron Oil Co. Ray worked with his partners as jobbers until his retirement in the late 70’s. After meeting Catherine Bryan of Granger on a blind date, he married her on October 21, 1941 in Yakima. After, almost 55 years of marriage Catherine passed away on September 4, 1996. Ray is survived by four sons Michael (Susan) of LaConner, Raymond (Barbara Boutain) of Yakima, Patrick (Larrita) of Zillah, Perry (Tina) of Richland, 10 grandchildren and 9 great grand children, sister Beverly (Joe) Toynbee of Renton. He is preceded in death by his parents, Reme and Nellie and sister Maxine Chamberlin. Ray enjoyed attending local sporting events, golfing at Mt. Adams Country Club, socializing with friends at the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2229. He was also past Commander of the American Legion, past president of the Toppenish Lions Club and Chamber of Commerce. He was also a proud veteran of World War II with the U.S. Air Force.
